Hi JEE..
You once told me about somebody who paid an astronomical amount of money for a Chinese vase, because he "felt the artist reaching out to him, across the centuries." Think about how knowledge of "provenance" affects how you "see" something. There's a difference between looking at an authentic Rembrandt vs. a fake, even if they were identical down to the level of the molecules. The knowledge modulates the "emotional impact" of the stimulus. And I think this is even probably true with illusions.
More later.

There is something here„ it reflects the problem where you believed your wife was faithful, and now you find out it was a lie. . does that change how you see the past
