Dear Jeff,

As you are aware, we are working with your good friends, Al Seckel and Isabel Maxwell to seed, launch and commercially scale Blue World Alliance (BWA). BWA is a non-profit/for-profit hybrid organization that generates practical solutions for the exploration, conservation and healing of our oceans through the GlobalSolver marketplace. For your interest and information, we have attached an executive summary as well as a graphic description of our business model. We also include our bios and look forward to discussing all of this with you in significant detail tomorrow at 10 A.M, EST.

As you may know, the oceans are at a tipping point for irreversible damage and current efforts to reverse the damage are not producing tangible solutions. Blue World Alliance has created a unique methodology in which prize-based competitions provide promising innovators with the funding, mentorship and strategic partnerships necessary to commercialize their solutions into products and services that yield tangible environmental and economically scalable benefits.

Al and Isabel have assembled a stellar team and we are seeking to raise $10 million in start-up funds with a goal of raising $3.5 million by the end of the second quarter. Jeff, were not going to beat around the bush, we need to identify individuals who believe in Al and Isabel, who understand our mission and are confident that commercial success can be found, in the near term, in the oceans—earth's life-support system.

No one was higher on that list for seed support from Al and Isabel's perspective than you. We well know your accomplishments, your passion for science and the welcome fact that you do not suffer fools gladly — a trait that we wholeheartedly welcome and embrace. There will be no foolishness in our call tomorrow, just a direct discussion about our conviction that Blue World Alliance deserves your highest consideration for investment and support.

Hi Jeff and Kathleen,

I will set up a meeting for us on gotomeeting.com just before our call. If you go to that website (and it is your first time there) accept the download. On the left side there will be two buttons, select "join a meeting". I will have an access code for you to join my meeting and will e-mail it to you once I establish the meeting and/or tell you the code over the phone. Once you put in the code you can join my meeting. Then we can all look at my screen when we are ready for the short presentation. I look forward to talking in the morning.
