The latest update is that I've created a position for Porter and it has been approved by our upper management. It'll put him in front of every major player in the waste and water world...I'm just waiting for his decision on whether he's going to take it (I only offered it to him today). The only downside is that it's a 6 mo. position and it's unpaid so he's grappling with what that means for now. He recognizes that the upside is huge and I'm fairly confident he'll take it, I just think he just needs a few days to digest.
I'm on my way down to Houston for the week where I'll be meeting with Waste Management and Allied/Republic about a few composting projects we're working with them to develop. I have my pearls and new suit in check for their trial run. I'll let you know how they are received.
white bra.. open shirt„ what new suit,,, we want photos..
Lunch was a success- I have begun the formal partnership process with CDM and now CH2MHill. Both co's were ready to sign on the dotted line immediately- they were drooling over the hope of working with us.
I forget to mention it today but "the ring" is apparently being made and will be done in a month!!!! Poor Porter is so frazzled about his work situation that he forwarded me an email I was not supposed to see. Knowing him, he'll probably sit on it until December.
I've been looking at suits online and agree that Jcrew may have the best selection...
ok you choose send for approval„ and i'll pay
Happy Tuesday!
A few updates:
I'm having your well water analyzed by one of my contacts at the State of CA. Hopefully, I'll have some suggestions for Bryce and Karen by the end of this week.
I have had no luck in the suit department yet- I think I'm going to have to make due with what I have until I'm in a city where I can look beyond the J.Crew's and Banana Republics (I'm either too tall or too thin for their suits). Don't fret- I do own a couple of very proper and conservative sets that will suffice.
Porter's interviewing with my boss on Monday but it's just a technicality- he's planning to come on board in May. Now we're just discussing where to move/live so that our cost if living is low and he has the best networking opportunities possible.
See how good I've become at following directions :)
Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you!
A
