no conference. I would like you as a coach put togehter an all star team to tackle a specific problem. An then with a strong hand guide the discussion.. I think conferences are yesterday.. TEAM dynamics.. Imaginwc a baseball team. the coach has a definite view, and needs to pull together various egos , into a working whole.

i would rather see , an anual competition for the best ideas. maybe team driven. I wonder if we could do it American Idol style. and hold an America got Ideas competition.

Did I tell you about the "Hard problems in social science" event we had a couple of months ago? We eventually got a list of the 10 hardest problems. The New Scientist is doing a piece on the event now, and we are debating having a prize for anybody who solves one of them.

I thought you didn't like prize...
