That incident happened in a small village in Indonesia this kind of punishment is pre Islamic old tradition that existed as part of the law but even now they are practising it ,unfortunately in many Muslim countries the tradition is stronger than the religion as in islam the punishment for rape is death Provided the incident has been witnessed by two people who will swear they saw it with their eyes if no witness then the punishment is 80 lashes plus he has to marry her provided she accepts
