Dear Jeffrey, Jean-Luc has suggested that we meet to talk about the present situation, and perhaps explore the conditions of a way out. I told Jean-Luc that I was not willing to act as a lawyer but just as a friend, by expressing my views and suggestions on an entirely confidential basis. If you are interested, contact me to arrange a meeting. I would prefer that it takes place in Paris or in London, since I am travelling a lot at the moment. I will be available from 15th April to 8th May, and then I am going to Brazil until 15th May.

Dear Jeffrey, Thank you for our conversation of yesterday. I have relayed to Jean-Luc your suggestions. As regards the apartment his family is taking care that they be taken off on the coming Monday.

He confirmed to me that the withdrawal of the complaint is part of an overall transaction, which, Jean-Luc sincerely hopes, will take place in the very near future. This is why we should, in my view, meet soon.
