As conscious agents I presume we evolve as experiences in time while remaining timeless? Experience is in time but consciousness is not in time? Agree?

I agree. We create time. We are not trapped in time.
I am eager to develop a theory of the evolution of consciousness—outside of space and time. One boundary condition on that theory is that, when it is projected back into the spacetime interface of Homo sapiens, it gives back Darwinian evolution.
