Hello,
I subscribed to your twice yearly publication about one month ago and sent in a check. Could you please confirm that you received it. Also, does one receive an immediate copy of last publication? So far, we have received nothing.
Thank you for your time,

The situation is not clear. Was the subscription in your name, lor was it for someone else or for some organization? I do not have a record of a subscription that goes out to you -- that is, in your name. So if it is in your name, please confirm this and I will recheck over everything again. And do give me the address to which subscription copies were to go.
As for your question, assuming you have paid, the first copy you will receive is when the upcoming spring issue appears. Subscription is only by the calendar year (spring and fall issues).

Says the check was from the sender, but the recipient address is "The Florida Science Foundation."
Asks "Does this help?" and thanks.
Confirms receipt of payment.
Notes subscription was taken in the sender's name but instructed to send to the organization, therefore the organization is listed as the subscriber who receives the issues.
First issue the organization will receive is expected to arrive in June (normal date).
