Hmm.
BTW, do you know Jeff Jonas? He's smart about data=stuff. I'm using his boat for the next 3 days. He's an inve=tor in my fund. He is the guy who busted the MIT Blackjack team. He'= at IBM, but he lives in Vegas and busts bad guys using data.
He might b= fun for you to meet.

I have talked to his second-in-command, Donna Dubinsky. In fact s=e
guest lectured for my neuroventures class, about their AI/brain
startup, Numenta (she is CEO).
Off the record comments:
One key issue with their work is that it's a model that attempts to => mimic brain maps -- but again, as with the European Human Brain Project, we don't yet have brain maps. So there are a lot of assumptions built into their models.
Perhaps as a result, their models haven't done much. I think Nume=ta
finally kind of gave up on trying to develop big hits with their Al
engine, and open sourced everything, hoping others would sign on:
But I'm not sure any major outputs have happened yet.
