My understanding is that autism hits men more because they express recessive genes more. Is this true? What's your racial and gender diversity look like at Landmark?

Hey Joi,

I haven't heard about gender differences in recessive gene expression before, but I will ask around. Some of the autism experts around here might know about that.

As for gender/racial diversity, we have a small number of black students (about 15 in a population of 500), and even less Asian and Hispanic students. As expected majority of students are male. Students here on the autism spectrum are also mostly male (70% or so). The ADHD and dyslexic population is closer to parity (maybe 55% male).

In other news, I am doing a little informal discussion with folks around here to seek out a alumnus who might be a potential Director's Fellow. I have a few possible people on my list, and I will send you some of their info in a few weeks.

Thanks again for hanging out, and hope to hang out again soon,

Cyrus

PS: Got my bottle of uBiome yesterday. I will let you know how it goes.

From my friend at the autistic university. Realize that autism isn't a proxy for genius but it's close right?
