In order for us to have a deeper conversation in this reply to your email, I have asked a friend of mine to help translate.

Firstly, I wanted to tell you how much your belief in me changed my life, and how the investment you made into my studies and career has meant to me, my family, my husband, our son and the audiences that I am blessed to serve. So thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

Before talking business again, I wanted you to know that the connection and respect that I have with you is very important to me, and I hold our friendship as one of the most important in my life. With that being said, I never want ANY business conversations to change in any way the friendship that we share. I know we do not speak often however you are always in my gratitude's and prayers.

So if you would prefer that we do not discuss this proposal any further, please let me know and I will not take any more of your time and hopefully keep intact our friendship. I will now share a little more detail in response to your text:

My husband has been running events in Lithuania for the past 7 years and has enjoyed great success and of course has also experienced events that were not successful at all. The important thing now is that with his 7 years of event experience and deep understanding of the nuances and distinctions that create a successful event he really feels ready to move our business to the next level.

We are certain that with the right funds we can truly develop a self-funding, sustainable platform. Please remember that we will continue to run events in Lithuania as we are building the events in Switzerland.

Because the margins in this business are moderate, borrowing the initial start up investment at a premium interest rate from an institution or bank is quite challenging and creates a major dilemma for us. With that in mind, we are looking for someone who is willing to help us with the initial investment and not expect the normal ROI that most sophisticated investments would return, and someone who can trust that we will not let them down and return their capital with a modest return.

I understand that this is a BIG ask and I had to really check into my heart to decide if this was something I was comfortable with asking you to invest in. I believe in my husband and his experience, I know that we will be successful as we have been for nearly a decade now and I know that moving our business to 'A' list stars while expensive can generate immediate and strong cash flow.

If you are open to invest with us and help us get started we can explore different scenarios, maybe for example, you only invest the first four events and we will then create the cash flow to fund all future events and create a payment plan for you that takes into account the lower profit margins of this type of business. We are open to explore all possibilities and remain open to your suggestions.

never a problem to discuss - never I have great respect for both you and our friendship. how much money does he want to borrow. switzerland is not lithuania -- the rules. costs and unforseens are much different. the question in biz is, how will the money be used. and how and when does it get repaid? i can talk to your husband over the weekend skype?
