Guess What's in Our Warehouse!

Ah gutten Chodesh and ah freilichen Chanukah!

Did your children (or grandchildren or nieces and nephews) get Chanukah gelt this year? Did they receive gifts from their parents or grandparents?

For children of families that cannot make ends meet, there is often little to celebrate on Chanukah. Poverty is often accompanied by despondency, and gifts are often the last thing on the minds of parents who barely get through each day.

For this reason, once each year, we fill the Tomche Shabbos warehouse with toys instead of food. Thanks to our anonymous donor, we have toys that are appropriate for boys and girls of every age. Volunteers pack boxes for all Tomche Shabbos families with toys suitable for each of their children. These boxes are delivered together with the Shabbos food packages on the week before Chanukah, putting a smile on the face of every child before yom tov!

But there's more! This month, Tomche Shabbos distributed food, toys, and COATS! Yes, that is correct. We distributed 1,000 winter coats, warming the hearts of parents and ensuring a warm winter for their children.
