Re: Specific Question Re Russian Visa
Hello...I just spoke with Danny Hernandez in your Miami office who has forwarded me your Russian Visa directions and paperwork. I have a specific question however...the person who wants this Russian Visa is a Registered Sex Offender. Is there anything he must do differently or in conjunction with this paperwork to receive a Russian Visa?
Please let me know as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Good afternoon,
We will need to file the court paperwork (copies) and statement letter detailing the case (dated with current address and tel / email) signed by traveler along with regular paperwork; the consulate may request additional information after submission. The decision whether to issue a visa will be at the Consul 'a General discretion - the decision is always made on the individual basis.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.

Thank you for your speedy reply! I will pass this along. thank you
Dear please do also let the traveler know that the consulate may request to appear in person if they feel more detail and a personal conversation may be needed for them to make the final decision. Thank you,

Thank you Inna...he actually had a Russian Visa in his last passport that is still valid. Due to the new law which requires an endorsement on the back of the passport stating he is a Registered Sex Offender, he had to apply for a new passport. We have the new passport and now merely wish to reissue the valid Russian Visa...do you know if this is possible? The Russian Visa is not due to expire until June 24, 2021. It was issued on June 25, 2018. Please advise.
Thank you,
could you please email me copies of new passport, old passport and a valid Russian visa? Usually the Russia authorities do not transfer visas but rather require to apply for a new visa but we can inquire as they made a few exceptions in the past. It will also depend which consulate has issued the 2018 visa. Thank you,
