Re: CHANGE IN PLANS: September 6th -Soundwaters Cruise
All,
I had previously sent a "Save the Date" for September 6th.
We are now finalizing the plan for the "Sunset Cruise" from Stamford.
I wanted to circle back with more details and to best determine of final count in order to plan accordingly.
We will be leaving from Stamford as close to 5:30pm as possible.
The Soundwaters team has informed me that the sun sets at 7:20pm that evening and it will be dark (difficult to sail) shortly after that.
They know it will be difficult for us all to get there by 5:30pm, but they advised leaving as soon after that time as possible.
I have told them we will do our best. We will be back to the dock around 7:30pm.
We will have some food and beverages on the boat. The boat can accommodate up to 40 people. There are about 26 of us. With all spouses, we would be 51 so I think there is a chance to work it all out...l just need to know from TOUR can come ASAP.
Please let me know....
I have attached directions and a photo of the schooner.

All,
We are still a "full go" for Thursday night. There is some threat of less than ideal weather so please dress accordingly.
If all else fails, we will find a place to enjoy the food, drink, and company.
Our number is below 40 so anyone who had mentioned flexibility regarding spouses does not have to be concerned...we are pleased to have them join us.
We look forward to seeing everyone...fingers crossed on the weather.

All,
The Captain has cancelled the boat trip this evening due to the risk of rain.
Clearly, he is unaware of the resolve of this particular group.
It is football season, so we are going to call an audible.
Instead of the boat, we will be meeting up at The Beacon Harbor Point.
We have a nice space reserved, which includes an outdoor area.
The room is reserved from 5-9pm.
The address is:
The Beacon Harbor Point
1 Harbor Point Road
Stamford, Ct 06902
Directions:
Take Washington Blvd to Pacific Street, turn right parking is one block down on left.
The Beacon is the 2 large buildings across the street. Our room, The Great Room, is in the North Tower.
All are welcome.
Cruise attire is still highly encouraged...but just make sure you are comfortable....shorts, etc.
