Hello , thank you for offering the apartment in NY during our stay until saturday! Your assistant was very kind and provided blankets. Unfortuanely the sofa is not a sofbed and the queen bed is too small for all 4 of us. I know everybody is very busy but if there is any chance to at least get one air mattress for the 2 kids tomorrow would be an enormous help.
Sony for all this trouble. If I would have known I would have brought something from home.

Good morning Mira. So sorry for all of this ... I am told the air mattress is In Our storage bin in the basement and no one has a key who is available at the apartments(our maids and Houseman have keys but they are all at home today). Considering it is thanksgiving I don't know if stores like bed bath and beyond are open to purchase one. (?). Trying to coordinate with Julia and another assistant at the apartments on how they can help. Will keep you posted.

Thank you for helping us and moving us to the bigger apartment! Julia is a very nice person.
There is a big sofa with enough space for our kids to sleep!
Also, is totally smoke smell free! For some reason neither opening the windows nor febreeze really helped in the other one.

I have at the top of my list to find out about the smoke smell...just horrible...it must be addressed.

We are very thankful for your support and we would never have expected to get this chance to live in the US. I still remember how I couldnt believe the fall of the wall is real. As a kid I just accepted our small GDR would be the limit of our world forever. Now everything seems open and free but without Jeffreys supportive net I cannot imagine how we could survive here. Now our kids are in a good and safe school, we are able to live in Cambridge and meet amazing people from all over the world. Our kids grow up beeing cosmopolitans and hopefully will keep an open and flexible mindset to make this world a better place for more people.
The only thing I really do miss is beeing able to work and contribute.
- I really appreciate Thanksgiving because it s all about giving thanks instead of shopping and everybody stays with family and friends.
