Re: questions for the birthday boy :)
Morning!
-I have a guest in apt I0B asking if he can view `regular news...like 'ABC, FOX, NBC"...I am thinking the answer is 'no'? We have a family staying in 10B from now until Oct. 19th (long term visitors) Yoni, the dad, is ill, and going through treatment here in NY...I am thinking the day you go see Nili (Fri. Sept. 9th at 10am) you go see
Yoni afterwards to give him a little lesson...or help him locate channels he may want. Do you think I could tell him 11:30am you could go to him?
-We need to find a day for you to come out and see me in CT....might Thursday Sept. 21 be ok for you?
-How many cupcakes did you actually
eat?
:)
ABC, CBS, CW & NBC are all preloaded on the second row. Most of them offer the current episodes of shows the day after it airs live.
FOX doesn't have any meaningful free content -- requires cable account to validate against.
I'll be happy to walk them through it, if they prefer.
9/21 works for me.
I had 4 or 5 I think. The first pastry I've had in months.

Insulin spikes arc a helltn a drug.
Oh course! I love lists.
Apple announces the new phones in a week, rumored to ship on the 22nd.
JEE was already talking about "upgrading everyone". I
imagine that
includes you, but he
didn't get specific.
I'll have a summary of the new models emailed after the
announcement. I
assume we can
build a list to order
from that.

Yes, I should for sure be on the
list for an upgrade...woo
hoo!...
Thank you SO much for loving lists...I see there is a train from
GC to New Canaan (you must switch trains in Stamford) departing 9:04am arrives 10:19 or a train departing 10:04am arriving 11:15am...I don't know how long you think you will need here? what do you think?
- The OS upgrade takes —2 hours, I can do yours & Ike's machines concurrently. I would estimate 3-4 hours tops to account for unexpected issues.
I have figure drawing the night before, so the 10:04AM train is much preferred.

10:04am departure is perfect....I will pick you up like we did last time at 11:15am. We should target getting you on the 3:26pm back to NY as the next train is not until 4:26pm ...ugh...being a spur off the beaten path means not as many choices. But I'd think you can get it all done by then. We need to leave my house 3:16pm so you easily make the 3:26pm.
We had sort of discussed my computer needing more back up due to the power outages we get here? (we had one last night incredibly...but my computer started up totally fine today) I am not sure what you think on this...
Battery backup, yes.
Please purchase this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01FWAZEIU/
It's II" x 5.5" x 4", with a right-angle (hugs the wall) plug. It can live on the floor or desk.
Optionally, you may want a second one for Ike's iMac. They're heavy, so you definitely want them shipped to you.
I'll install them so that when the power goes out for an extended time, it'll shut down the computer(s) to avoid damage.
So you know. The battery wears out after 18 months or so, so they'll need to be replaced. I can show you how that's done.

I am getting ready to push send on this, just want to make sure it is the "600 VA, battery backup w/USB Charging" I should buy...when it comes time to replace the battery, what do we order? Can you send me the replacement link as well?
That is the correct product.
When the battery goes, I'll find the appropriate link for you to purchase a replacement. They have a lifespan, so it doesn't make sense to order spares ahead of time.
