I need a 'hip' place for my CIO to have dinner on Wednesday night anywhere midtown to downtown (meat packing district good).

Yes STK. lavo is 58th between Madison and park, closer to mad VERY hip Italian. Tao is across the street. Meat packing has Dos Caminos Mexican. Buddakon is around that area as well

No. That was Buddha bar. It is now called something else but same concept. buddkahn is Asian infusion also and huge and cool. Spice market great and down there too.
