Ty and I will spend night with Jena Thursday. If I have dads car we can drive ourselves to your house on Friday from Jena's around noon. If not maybe jena can bring us or we can Uber (or you pick us up after your appointments? I need to find out from Jena if her kids are going to school fri morning or skipping half day! Regardless though I thought we (ty and I) would have lunch with y'all maybe the burger place that was so good we went to last time we were here. Then we need to drop Ty at dads. Then we all go boot shopping Friday afternoon?! Unfortunately ike is not coming. Way too busy at work with other employees already out this week as other big things going on which I need to talk to you about. So Friday night dinner will be just mom randy and lesley. I would love to go to a NICE restaurant! Not a taco stand. I will spend the night at your house. (Ty will be with Nana at Great Wolf). Mom and I hang out Saturday and shop for party and whatever else. Sat we pick up Randy from his meeting and go to R&L's for party. Ty will be dropped off at R&L's by Nana. We spend the night at R&L's. Mom and Randy come over Sunday morning to have breakfast and take us to love field for our 1:30 flight home.
Does all sound ok? I need to figure out the Friday morning part of this and if I will have a car. But as I said regardless I want the 4 of us to have lunch after you are done with appointments!

You go to Baxter's. Friday, how do you get to Deep Valley... do we come get you? Randy inspecting properties and MD appointment Friday AM. Done by noon. Ty with you Friday, then we take him to Baxter's around noon. R&D have lunch with Les, then play around in the afternoon. Get Ike at airport 5-7ish... then to fun dinner... Uppity Mexican (RW sez) or taco stand? Take Ike and Les to ??? Friday evening after Dinner See you at Russ and Laura's after 4 on Saturday. (Randy has Rotary meeting in downtown Plano 1-4 Saturday... hopefully can get a ride so Diana can pick him up on the way to R&L's) R&D gave away symphony tickets for Saturday evening so can hang out. You stay at R&L's Saturday evening R&D join you Sunday AM at R&L's, Take you to Love for mid-day departure.
How am I doing, coach?

It was s00000 great to see y'all...really had a super trip. Randy, you seem totally fine!!! but I am glad you are on top of your health...I'm sure all will go well on March 1 and you will be on your way to checkout the new bathroom projects in Winter Park shortly there after! Mom, LOVED our 5 mile + walks with weights! Great exercise with great conversation. My favorite ...especially with you! Thank you for my Cowboy Boots! I love them and will get WAY more use out of them being black! They are really nice...Ike was impressed!
Ike's conference call was unpleasant for him and an eye opener...he still has his job, thank goodness, but it turns out his fellow partners feel as if Ike's drive for the past year has been in low gear. That his desire to bust his ass was not like it used to be...Ike wishes they hadn't waited/wasted an entire year to tell him this of course. They are also penalizing him monetarily...and I think exhorbetant, but Ike says he really doesn't have a leg to stand on to say "i think that is an exhorbetant amount" So he will work 1st quarter and some of second quarter for "free" if you will...the other guys will all take bonuses and Ike will not. It is what it is...as I said, we are very happy they did not want to throw him out with the bath water.
The smell in the stairway to the basement is terrible...Ike says he has smelled it since about last Thursday. I thought we should call Gault (our propane supplier immediately, but Ike didn't want to...late and he just wanted to enjoy us being home, etc) So we went to bed and at 2:30am I couldn't sleep thinking that our house could explode any minute. I shut off the gas to the house with the emergency switches and laid in bed wondering if this was enough to keep the house from exploding (while bothering Ike who really needed to sleep). I called Gault this morning at 6am and the guy was here at 8:30am. He walked all around, checked everything and determined a dead animal must be in some crawl space somewhere and it will probably go away in a week or 2. I feel much better knowing this and it is worth the $125.00 invoice!... My family is safe!

Bummer for Ike, but really glad it's no worse. In the scheme of things it is only a minor set-back and he'll be stronger from it in the long run.
The worst thing I can think of that might come from this episode is the 'resentment' that Ike might feel towards the partners for the punishment they have imposed on him. That attitude couldn't be at all helpful at work! Hopefully he will be able to rise above and take it in stride and show his STRENGTH! Lesley, you are his supportive major cheerleader and will help soothe him through it.
We have experienced several 'dead things' under our deck and hot tub and know it can be very stinky - but the smell goes away fairly quickly. Can you search for and screen over any outside openings in the vicinity? Winter season is the best time to discover such a thing - some sort of rodent probably already has!

The resentment factor will for sure come to a head...we have already been discussing it...Maybe its not so much 'resentment' as it is Ike will feel the dollar amount that he must 'pay back' is over the top...these partners (accept for Henry-the other trader) would never even have the opportunity to make an error of this size because they do not trade...they are reaping the rewards of Ike's trading ability. If Ike didn't make the huge trades, these guys would not make the huge bucks they do. Everyone serves a purpose ..and it does take a village...but if one of these guys messes up because they do something 'administratively' wrong, the dollar amount would never be as high. I think in a couple ofmonths Ike will sit them down and 'discuss' the monetary spanking...

Gault out in the morning I had to make an emergency call to them that night saying we had no heat, I couldn't cook, our fire place wasn't working, no hot watcr...it was obvious we needed a delivery of propane! Apparently it is dangerous to let your tank go completely dry also...anyway, we arc all good now but I don't feel like i should pay the 5125 for the morning service call!
Thanks so much mom. I love this email. I have been being very supportive and talking to ike and listening every night when he gets home. I agree he needs to prove himself again and then go in for a revaluation of his 'hit'

Duh - I didn't even know you were totally on propane! So that's really interesting and something I would have never guessed .... BUT, the professional 'propane supplier' guy should have recognized it immediately! I can NOT see where you should have to pay him for the useless trip. (Pay him for more propane!)

I see your point about the $$ penalty. Ike's strategy of 'cooling it' for now and bringing it up later after feelings have calmed, sounds like a good idea.
The VERY best fix for it all of course, will be for Ike to get in there and trade up a STORM and bring in the big $$ and WOW the whole company! He can DO IT! And YOU can be supportive and help him FOCUS.
