Dear Dr. Tramo: I am writing at the suggestion of Alan Fletcher and others given your work in the area of music and the brain. By way of introduction, my name is Kitty Boone and I direct a significant conference here in Aspen, Colorado as part of the Aspen Institute known as the "Aspen Ideas Festival" (www.aifestival.orq). This summer we are going to look at diverse aspects of music and its influence today - and are quite eager to host a presentation or discussion on the subject of music and neurology. Alan assures me that you are IT. We have tried to find the right place to forward this; perhaps now this will get to you.
I would be delighted to call you and discuss this, though I appreciate the limits on your time. I attach a formal invitation and can certainly answer any questions. This should be a provocative and interesting set of discussions.
