Dear Jeffrey,

I have a very big problem.

My french identity card expires tomorrow, and lazy french civil officers have not done the new one.

Without a french resident card, or at least temporary one, I can not leave the country and especially ask for my UK visa.

I have seen them 4 times in 2 weeks, spent all the morning there today and have my hands shivering, they exhausted me and they treat foreigners awfully.

They do not want to help and do not say when it would be ready.

I did not ask you for help before because I hoped to do it myself, and did not want to bother you everytime. By any chance, do you have a friend in Paris that can help me? miry to be a pain in the ass.

You are really sweet!
I will try to explain.

My dossier is attached to the Foreign Service of the Prefecture of Creteil (a town near Paris). The officers that actually receive applicants do not have any names, it is not them who process the applications, they only check on the system if it is ready or not and tell you to come again and again.

I sent my application by post (it is the only way to renew it). And I know that they have received it on the 21st of September, I have a confirmation of the post.

So, the application is there, but not processed. Once it is treated (it takes them 20 min max), I can have a temporary card that permits me to travel.

But it can take them one week as one month to open and process my application.

I brought all the documents with me today, begging them to receive me, but got only humiliation, of course.

Voilà....
