Re: off
CFO called today and said he quit. The deal is off.
He had issues with not having enough control over how the money is used to develop the company. Plus, he got a big job offer from a venture capital firm, so he is out. The other partner is resigning too. They might work on starting a similar aviation company at some point and they would want me to join, but it won't happen for a while...
bullshit.
what part?
people don't make these type of decision s without weeks of contemplation. he either already had decided so the entire thing was bullshit, , or he got fired for something. I m sorry for you. you might ask him , now that you have wasted a great deal of time and money , if he thouhgt there was a way for you to work for aopa. they need women , and young people etc.
Apparently they questioned his expenses from the last trip (some of which involved me), he had to explain the meetings with me were for business, and he snapped because if they don't trust him with such small things, how will they let him spend money on the company. He got the big vc job offer weeks ago but refused because he wanted to stick around at aopa, although the spending control had been an issue for a while. This was apparently the last straw. Who knows what the real story is, it sucks...
I just got a call from a producer at aopa (found me online, unrelated to the last deal), who wants to do a video story about me. This would happen at the next conference in Orlando, on the 30th. They do need women and young people. I could ask him, or see if I can get in through someone else.
