I told you what I would find fair. My position is that it is the decent thing to do, considering who helped and protected you during difficult times and who put me there, the promises you made and position you leave me in, the guilt, lost opportunities and humiliating consequences I will have to deal with forever in both professional and personal life. You have the resources to make things right and there really is no excuse for not doing that. We were in love, I consider you family and the idea that 7 years of devotion during the hardest times result in 'I don't give fuck' and a comparison to an employee you barely know is just not ok..
