This morning I bought an incredible piece of art. Its hard to explain, but I think it may be the culmination of 30 years of learning. I haven't seen it, I bought it from photos. It is a silk banner about 6' by 5' with two deer facing each other. It is 7th c. and had to belong to the King of Tibet. The tents were elaborate beyond belief with cups of silver and ewers of gold. Our silk banner would have adorned the Tsenpo's tent. It is in perfect shape. I have never seen it, but for years I have visualized what must have been in these royal tents.
