Monday night I volunteered to work on Film Society ofLincoln Center tribute to Tom Hanks as a favor to get them to put me on retainer and revamp entire organization....they want me and claim looking for money to pay me- but sat next to Len Blavatnick at the tribute- who wants me to help him in Cannes (yuck) but will make him donate my fee to Film Society...good idea...more importantly- I got 20 directors and stars to attend dinner and tribute Monday night...
Ended up at after-party at Jean•George...balmy night on a terrace sitting around a small table kibbitzing, telling hilarious stories about ourselves (and wishing you could be there and see this for yourself) till 2:30am with BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, TOM HANKS, Rita Wilson, Jeremy Irons, Georflicy Rush, Christie Brinkley and ME!!! What a night.
