Re: O visa
Dear Jeffrey,
Today I have met with the immigration attorneys. They think that it should be no problem to get an O visa for me, and it should be granted in late September.
They have not heard yet who is going to retain them, though. Is this going via MIT, or via Darren? Or have you reconsidered?
Please give me a call whenever it is convenient for you.
Joscha
i am in your corner
Sorry for my shellshocked stuttering tonight, and thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it greatly, and I will deal with my issues. As you know, a large part of it is a lack of empathy for which I have to compensate.
The reason why I wanted Katherine Gallagher as my assistant is exactly this: she is smart, capable of giving reliable social advice and "adult supervision".
She is currently doing administration for Martin, and works as a teaching assistant at Harvard, too. Perhaps you should talk to her. Or do you have someone else in mind?
Since the MIT student affair broke out, I have been very anxious and depressed; without your generosity, and the emotional support of my wife, I could not have gone on. It seems that anxiety and Adderall have been a bad mixture. I think it will get better when there is some resolution.
The immigration lawyers tell me they need a message from Darren so that they can proceed.
