No problem Jeffrey. In order to ensure that we don't end up putting "fuel on the fire", we have had to be more cautious in our research and advices than would normally be the case....thus the higher costs.
I've just arrived back in the UK and will revert to you by tomorrow with further comments on the draft letter.
In the meantime I note that Paul Flynn, a labour backbench MP intends this week to challenge historic rules preventing MP's from criticising any member of the Royal family, with Prince Andrew being his specific target. This may raise further references to you.
Accordingly the DoY's intervention will be all the more important. We may also have to consider legal action against the Mail on privacy (and possibly malicious falsehood) grounds. As the Telegraph are sitting tight without committing themselves one way or the other, legal proceedings may be the most effective option.
I do however appreciate that you, understandably, are conscious of the rising costs, but I just wanted to set out the position at this stage.
