Re: Maxwell Audio
Request 1: If you could upload the audio file with the time stamps redacted for and into JEFs and share the link with me, that would be great.
Request 2: I am working on obtaining an answer on this and will update ASAP.
Thank you, all!
Which folder?
Good Afternoon,
To meet expectations, OTD is requesting clarification on the instructions for the Maxwell audio recording.
Request #1: ODAG Acting Associate Deputy Attorney General requested OTD to redact the portions identified below in the one audio file. Should OTD upload the result to the provided shared folder?
Below are the portions requested for redaction from the audio file that is 42:10 in length (it is the second substantive recordin from 7/25).
• Redact the name ' " from 42:10 file at time stamps 11:25, 11:27, and 18:24
• Redact ' " from 42:10 file at timestamp 18:18.
OTD will overwrite the timestamps stated above with an audible sound to redact the names “█████████” and “██████” unless otherwise advised.
In addition, OTD will remove the metadata from the one file above with the length of 42:10.
Request #2: NY ASAC ██████ requested OTD to merge the list of the below recordings into one audio recording. Is this accurate? Should OTD upload the result to the provided shared folder?
Thursday July 24
724_25_ Tallahassee.004 (44:33 in length): Begins at 10:12 a.m., ends at 10:56 a.m. 724_25_ Tallahassee.005 (1:06:24 in length): Begins at 11:07 a.m., ends at 12:15 p.m. 7_24_25_ Tallahassee.007 (3:01 in length): Begins at 12:59 p.m., no end given L24_25 Tallahassee.008 (1:00:53 in length): No begin given, ends at 2:03 p.m. 724_25__ Tallahassee.009 (36:42 in length): Begins at 2:16 p.m., ends at 2:53 p.m. 7 24 25 Tallahassee.010 (24:46 in length): Begins at 3:10 p.m., ends at 3:34 p.m.
Friday July 25
xxx7 25.003 (1:11:28 in length): Begins at 9:24 a.m., ends at 10:35 a.m. xxx7 25.004 (42:10 in length): Begins at 10:49 a.m., ends at 11:31 a.m. xxx7 25.005 (0:49 in length): Begins at 11:49 a.m., no end given xxx7 25.006 (16:18 in length): No begin given, ends at 12:05 p.m.
OTD personnel were provided access to two folders dated July 24th (10 audio files) and July 25th (6 audio files) for a total of 16 audio files. In request #2 from NY, there are 10 audio files listed for processing, please confirm OTD should not process the other 6 audio files in the shared folder.
Who should OTD provide the one combined audio file to or should OTD upload the file to the provided shared folder? OTD will remove the metadata from the combined audio file.
Currently, OTD is working on the redaction request from the one audio file per the ODAG's request. To ensure the redactions are completed accurately, OTD will need until tomorrow afternoon for the
EFTA01656886
ODAG request #1 and until Wednesday afternoon for the NY request #2. Once OTD receives clarity on the final instructions we will be able to provide a specific timeline.
Thank you,

Sir,
OTD would need a POC to request permission to upload the file to the shared folder.
Thank you,
Can you just upload the file into a new JEFs folder and share that with me? You have ODAG approval for that.
Him, , I just left you a voice mail. When OTD is done with their edits, they are going to upload the files to my OneDrive folder (I have granted the 3 OTD users access). I can then forward the files to you via OneDrive (if you can now download from it), JEFS (if link works for me), or Teleporter.
Hi, all,
Thank you again for your hard work on this project. Just to give you a heads up, we are going to be looking to redact all victim names from the audio recordings (in the same manner as you did for the two individuals previously). We are working on getting the timestamps to you ASAP.
Thank you in advance for your work on this.
Thank you, . Below are the timestamps from the original files—not the combined files-sent over to DOJ. The files are identified by their length. The name to be redacted is listed along with the timestamp.
We understand it is late, and this takes a lot of work. We also want to ensure this is done correctly. We would like for your team to do your best to have the redacted audio files sent over to us via Teleporter by noon tomorrow.
Please let me know if you have any questions at all. I am available on my mobile | tonight and tomorrow to discuss anything to ensure we get this done.
Thank you and your team in advance for your work on this.
Hi, all,
Just to reiterate: The redactions should be done to the separate files as originally produced to DOJ by █████████—not the combined files.
Thank you!
Let me know if you or your folks need anything further. Realistically, how long do you think this will take?
Consistent with ASAC request here is a breakdown of the file names and their file length:
- File length 1:06:24 = 7_24_25_Tallahassee.005
- File length 1:00:53 = 7_24_25_Tallahassee.008
- File length 36:42 = 7_24_25_Tallahassee.009
- File length 1:11:28 = xxx7_25.003
- File length 42:10 = xxx7_25.004
- File length 16:18 = xxx7_25.006

Thanks, we are working on a realistic timeline but I can confirm it won't be today.
