Dear Larry:
It was good to talk to you the other day. I would like to give you a rough
quote and reiterate our conversation in writing. The 45', 8 1/2 ft. beam
boat includes:
-pilot house
-dual engine driven air conditioning so it is nice and cold
-bow thruster
-a pair of fuel injected mercruiser 525 HP engines
-Bravo stern drives
-stainless steel external racing steering
-stainless steel props
-K-planes, and indicators
-six reclining bucket seats with arm rests in the pilot house
-cuddy cabin in the front
-300 gallon fuel tank
-high performance gauges
-GPS color chart plotter
This boat will easily do the 65 miles per hour requested on GPS, and can be
put together for about $430,000.00 USD, plus tax and trailer (if required).
The boat can be driven to Puerto Rico. The express cruiser version (see
sketch) could be done for the same money with the same hardware. I have the
boat hulled, already constructed, without bulk heads and floor, which will
reduce the build time considerably. The compartments in the hull and
storage spaces and floor height can be arranged to suit your needs. Both
styles, pilot house and the express cruiser, are equally capable in rough
water and are designed to be strong enough (everything is glassed to
everything) to run through whatever sea condition. If you would like to see
the hull/factory, meet with me, let me know and we will get together. I
would be happy to answer all of your questions.
Best regards,
Will Smith

PS: I'm sending a revised sketch of the pilot house version later today.... remember the pilot house seats six and will be easy to dock but the express crusier seats 2 on the inside [like first class] or 4 [ like business class] and would be a little harder for one man to dock and handle the ropes unless it was built with a second station option on the open back deck....ws

looks a little different from his pilot house boat.
your thoughts,?
If we agree Phantom Boats can build the boat with the performance that you are looking for,
I would recommend having Will Smith the owner designer come to LSJ and meet with you and his drawing pad to lock in correct design.
