Hi Cecilia,

I have an urgent request that needs to be approved
by Jeffrey. There is a
student who just got accepted to the Harvard U
Summer program and cannot
afford to pay 100% of the tuition. She is a
straight A, 16 year old student
who will be a senior this coming school year here in
St. Thomas. This is
obviously a great opportunity for her. Her parents
have tried to come up
with the money and cannot since they have two other
kids in college. The
total cost of the program is $9,000 and they can
only come up with $3,000 so
they are requesting assistance in the amount of
$6,000.

I met with the student and she is a great kid. She
wants to focus on
bio-chemistry in order to go on pre-med in college.
I think that we should
try to so this. The program begins on Monday, June
26th ( in four days)
thus the urgency of the matter.
