I just came back from visiting the Barchessa Loredan building in Treviso, sometimes its good to have all your values and ability questioned. When it comes from someone I like it provokes in me a real hunt for truth. Now thanks to my visit I can defend my library building so much better, it is so much better than the ones I just visited. I think it is a great idea to work a schedule with Doug on how I will be presenting to you all the stages of the project. I, however, have suffered the effect of being pulled apart in too many directions way too often. At this point the interior of the library is going steady and they need a lot of direction from me. Said this, I need to finish all the detail of the exterior elevations in order to coordinate the million details necessary.
Today I have been revising all the real scale drawings for the interrior cabinetry. It is impressive. I will send you photographs of this paper wall.
I am adding also some of the issues to the master plan, such as, a small protected parking from the south and detailing the ramps and steps in that area. Curiously, I saw a lot of roads up on the mountains of the Liguria (very very windy) right over the ridge. Many of this designed by the Romans (best road designers in history).
The main house is going consistantly and I will check with you when would be convenient to have a nice design meeting.
I did a few modifications for your office building that makes me feel happy.
I spoke with Ghislaine at large and I wil fly to Palm Beach on the way to St Thomas for the week of the 4th. I will coordinate with Sarah what is convenient.
