To all,
It appears that most of the condos and homes in the Cowpet area have the same negative feeling about the Leland Sneed and the placement of it in Christmas Cove. Through some advice from interested parties it appears that blocking this permit is going to be a very "uphill battle" as the predisposed feeling at CZM and DPNR is to allow it for various reasons.
Christmas Cove is a marine sanctuary and that is probably our strongest negotiation point if we hope to stop this from happening. Rather than going in and complain that our general peace of minds will be threatened it may be better to fight this on an ecological and intellectual level rather than emotional.
If representatives from Anchorage, Elysian, Cowpet East / West, Water Point, Deck Point
and STYC want to meet at STYC at 6:00 this Wednesday to form a strategy it might make good sense.
Please pass this on to your BoD and it might be a good idea to start writing letters to anyone who might listen
