Dearest Jeffrey,

I hope you're doing well.

 

I decided I wanted the Croatian boy after all. Just because he's so reliable. Turned out he knew I wasn't the One. That was a strange feeling, since I was prepared to disregard his lack of ambition, success, and humour, and his "normal" life.

 

I never thought reliability would be one of the top qualities in a man...

Standard of living in Dubai
The standard of living is actually not good at all. The average expat is sharing apt with 3-9 roommates and has very limited means for entertainment. 

 

People are fairly cheap here, unless they are sheiks... They simply can't afford to be anything else.

 

When I was in college I drove a sportscar, lived with one roommate in a 2 bedroom 2 bath, and had already started dressing in Armani.

 

London is slashing 20,000 banking jobs in the near future and I would assume many other finacial cities are as well. Hence, we will get an inflow of people to Dubai. It's already happening. The French hooker is here because she was made redundant in London.

 

My company is starting to grow on me. I'm liking it and I almost don't have to look at the "MAC Capital" signs on my phone to remember where I work. This thrills my immediate boss since he urges me to learn the name of the company.

 

Nutella party Part Deux 

Went to the 2nd Nutella party and it was pretty freaken good! Great outdoor venue with view of Burj Al Arab right on the beach. ...but not literarily on the beach, but on a huge patio, how else could we wear our Prada sandals? 

 

Alright, I'm headed out to the beach for my weekly sand-walk. +37C (98F), but only 9% humidity. Not bad, kids!
