Rich and I suggest that with respect to time that
Bruce believes he has
already accrued, he be allowed to take the time, but
he has to spread it out over
two years. I would probably recommend that the
month off that Bruce is
looking to take in September be put off until some
time next year and then be
taken in two week increments.Going forward Rich and I have come up with the
following rules for your
consideration:
* Miles & Cathy get no overtime. Miles'
salary and the vacations you
pay for well compensate them
* The other members of Miles' staff accumulate
overtime for each week
on an hour by hour basis only after working 60
hours in that week.
* Staff members become eligible for an
overtime day off for each 12
hours of overtime accrued. No credit is given for
partial overtime hours.
* Overtime days off must be used in the
calendar year during which they
accrue or they are lost.
* No more than 1 week of overtime days off may
be used at a time,
except with special permission from your office and
Miles.
* Accumulated overtime days off may not be
combined with regular
vacation time, except with special permission from
your office and Miles.
* No more than one staff member should take
overtime days off at the
same time, except with special permission from your
office and Miles
* Time cards must be filled out weekly and
signed both by the staff
member and Miles and must state the number of hours
worked each day of the
week. Partial hours are tracked in minimum
quarter-hour increments.
* Based on the time reflected in the time
cards, on a weekly basis
Miles will update and sign a chart of accumulated
overtime hours off and submit
it to Rich.
* Overtime Hours Off may not be exchanged for
goods or money. The only
benefit of overtime is accumulation of additional
time off. Period.
Please let us know if this sounds ok to you. We can
discuss this on Monday
when you return. Safe trip.Darren K. Indyke

Subject: LSJ Bruce White leave
To: Darren Indyke dkiesq@aol.comGreetings
Cathy and I have been looking back at past leave
and current requested leave for Bruce. This year's
leave requests are excessive. When compared to
Carlos and Aaran it soon becomes apparent how much
leave he is requesting.Bruce is currently on leave (Approved) from 26 May
to 16 June.
Second request is from 27 July to 12 August
Third request is from 30 August to 30 SeptemberGM was given all the documents for approval.
There are some rumblings from other staff
regarding this leave. Nothing official.I would like some clarity on the above as I feel
that these leave requests are way over exceptable
levels and should be reduced or denied.Regards
Miles
