Ok, well now it is not fun here. THe weather has
picked up and there at 10 ft swells..i needn't have
bothered with the whole spa loose weight thing.. 10
ft swells will do it every time
Tarawa was a lovely stink hole as well..it could
have been an amazing island but for the open sewage
lines..remember Haiti??
Great world war memorabilia though..machine guns
still in same places on the beach, landing craft
sunk on the beaches, bunkers etc, and yes I do have
great pics. I'll have to show you when I get home.
Fun part of Tarawa was when I went for a run..not
sure anyone has ever done that before in the heat of
the day, and even if there is no heat..
