Re: Sutin Thayer Invoice
pay it

Amanda forwarded a message to you that Sutin Thayer
agreed to a $2,500
reduction in its invoice for legal work relating to
assessment and planning of
water rights for Zorro Ranch and the preparation of
a grazing lease for Zorro
Ranch.Sutin Thayer is Paul Bardake's law firm. You may
recall that Mr. Bardake was
a referral of the New Mexico governor. As you and I discussed, I believe that the time
spent and invoiced by
Germain Chappelle, a Sutin Thayer attorney, in
drafting, researching and asking
questions about Ed Burns' grazing lease was largely
a waste of time. It was
clear to me that Ms. Chappelle was spending Zorro's
time inefficiently and Zorro
should not be billed for that inefficient loss of
time.I raised this with Sutin Thayer, and Bardake and
Chappelle came back to me
with the offer to reduce the $27,571.27 invoice
balance by $2,500 to
$25,071.27. Sutin and Theyer would not reduce the
invoice further. The amount due represents billings from as far back
as September 2005.Please advise whether or not you wish for me to
cause Zorro to pay this
invoice.Darren
