Lafayette Office Arrangements

Brice made suggestions regarding office set up which are set forth below.  I have indicated in Boldface and Caps where I need your input to make sure you are comfortable with the planned arrangements.

 

Administrative Office for Construction

1: As briefly discussed yesterday (4/09/08) if JEE is comfortable, recommend Tom

    Melnick and Arran McGinnis move into the existing construction trailer on LSJ.  

   ARE YOU OK WITH THIS PLAN? 

 

2: Set up the ballet room as a construction office for Bill Rowels, Monique and any

   other visitors i.e. Doug Schoettle, Charles Miller

 

      3: Have already asked Lance to investigate phone issues, believe only need hand sets

          as all data and phone cable are in place.

 

      4: The Ballet room had already been set up for past design teams, with a desk top

          computer and plotter.

 

      5: The conference room at FTC would be utilized to meet sub contractors and vendors

          when needed.

 

ARE YOU OK WITH USING THE BALLET ROOM AS BRICE SUGGESTS ABOVE?

 

In addition, Cecile told me that there is space for Monique at FTC.  I understood you to tell me that Monique should be stationed at FTC.  I assume that she would use Ballet room (if you approve of the use of the Ballet room as Brice suggests) as and when Monique's responsibilities call her to the Island from time to time.  ARE YOU OK WITH THIS PLAN?

 

Based on our brief conversation, I told Cecile to make sure there is space for Bill Rowles at FTC as well, but would you rather that he be stationed at FTC, and use the Ballet Room when he needs to come to the Island, or would you rather Bill be permanently stationed on the Island?  (I understand that we still need to evaluate Bill, but in the meantime, want to make sure that he is stationed in a manner acceptable to you.)  PLEASE ADVISE WHETHER YOU WANT BILL TO STATIONED AT FTC, USING BALLET ROOM WHEN HE NEEDS TO BE ON ISLAND, OR TO BE STATIONED ON THE ISLAND, USING SPACE AND THE CONFERENCE ROOM AT FTC, WHEN THE NEED ARISES?. 

 

I have asked Brice to get me details of the files, books, equipment to be brought over from the Lafayette office, so we can determine the extent to which it should be brought to the Island or kept at FTC.  I will report to you on that as soon as I hear from Brice.
