Dear Leslie,

As you know, JE asked me to prepare a reading list for important books, but we never discussed this in enough detail. This is no problem because we can work this out as we go along. However, we need

(1) a way to send the books, and

(2) a way to discuss this from time to time.

The simplest way to do (1): I assume that JE will be able to accept books mailed from Amazon. So I would simply order them from Amazon, charging them to my Amazon account. (The cost of this will be too small to think about.) However, I’ll need an address for sending the books to JE.

As for (2), we could communicate by regular mail, email, phone, or whatever, and I’d be happy to visit in person if that is permitted.

Does your office or JE have a phone number that works more often?
