Dear Helen,
I would appreciate it if you could forward
this to Jeffrey
I spoke with Jeffrey several years ago and
I am aware that he does not usually invest in funds. However the other investors
in this fund do not typically invest in funds either and the minimum is $25
million, so perhaps he might make an exception!
Pangaea One is a global special situations
fund which will seek out macro or micro dislocations and make minority control
investments. Typically family owned businesses but also corporate
distressed/divestment. The team is outstanding and has worked together at AIG
for nearly ten years. Their track record is top tier.
There will be no more than 20 investors in
the fund. I have introduced them to several of my clients, such as the
Sainsbury family, a large Swiss family and a prominent Middle Eastern family
and they have all committed.
U.S. investors include Sam Zell, the DeVoss
family of Amway, John Malone of Liberty Media, and Hank Greenberg, their former
boss and head of AIG. Institutional investors include the IMF pension fund and
Dupont.
If Jeffrey has an interest, I would be glad
to set up a conference call with Peter Yu, the Founding Managing Partner. The
final closing is August 31st.
Best, Anita
