Someone will be passing through town whom you may be interested in
meeting. Nicholas (Colly) Myers is the former (in fact, first) CEO of Symbian,
a British software company. Colly and his older brother Sir David Potter
are good examples of the "best and the brightest" leaving university-based
science to become high-tech entrepreneurs. Colly was the chief software
architect at Symbian, and distinct parallels exist between the evolution of his
interests and those of Jeff Hawkins. Colly and I intersected some time
ago, and we are discussing a collaboration converging his talent in software
design and my knowledge of the brain - not dissimilar from our discussions.
Colly will be in New York very briefly in the end of May and I wonder if you
would like to meet him if your schedules mesh. Please let me know.
