Short summary of the agenda of the meeting scheduled for tomorrow (as announced in my mail of last Thursday night):
- Election of the Chairman and officers for the meeting,
- At Mr. Almond’s request, authorization to be granted for works to be done with respect to load-bearing wall (“murs porteurs”) and common parts (“parties communes”) – see explanations and description in French sent by fax (mainly new windows and alteration of common pipes for water, heating, etc.),
- Decision to proceed or not to proceed prior to the beginning of the works with an official report by bailiff of the state of the apartments next to Mr. Almond’s apartment and of the common parts.
- Decision to replace or not to replace common pipes (which are in a very poor state) going through Mr. Almond’s apartment (for an overall cost of 13,500 € tax excluded to be paid by the co-owners).
If not otherwise instructed, I intend to vote as follows:
On 2:
Same as general consensus. However, if the general consensus were to be a negative answer, I would vote yes, if I feel that the reason for the negative answer is based on an anti-American feeling (possible with some of the co-owners!!!).
On 3:
I would vote yes for an official statement relating to the common parts, the costs of which being shared by all co-owners.
On 4:
I would vote yes, since if there is a problem because of these pipes after Mr. Almond’s works are done, the cost for the co-owners would be much higher.

Please be informed that there is an extraordinary meeting scheduled for Tuesday June 5th regarding authorization to be granted to Mr. Almond for works to be carried out in the apartment he purchased on the ground floor (see my mail dated February 26th, 2007: “The new owner on the ground floor (Mr. Charles Almond) wants to make a few changes in the courtyard (see his letter as attachment). He has hired a landscape gardener, who has prepared a project I am sending you by DHL. He will certainly like to have this discussed at the meeting.”).
I will prepare for tomorrow a short summary of the agenda.
Please confirm that you want me to attend the meeting. You will find attached the corresponding power of attorney.
