I know that I always ask but now I am serious - its budget and planning time for next year and it would be irresponsible of me to set up a plan and then desert the foundation. I would not want to do that. Of course I can always go back to medicine full time and I have so many research ideas that I want to pursue, I could spend lots of time thinking about those. I just feel like I've worked hard/lots of experience and maybe should do something bigger. Or big. It has to be concrete. As I woman, I don't get many chances without getting the "flaky" label.
