Amidst all this, I am personally grateful to him as my sister-in-law was recently diagnosed and is fighting triple negative breast cancer -- a challenge I know he has recognized and funded. In two weeks, I'll be presenting at this upcoming event, UMass Boston To Host an International Conference on Disaster Management in May 2014 - University of Massachusetts Boston. the ItostonConference.Abstract WS.htm I submitted was accepted and I am now a featured presenter and will also sit on a panel to discuss the unique needs of children immediately following natural disasters. The attention our small foundation is now receiving is exciting; however, our continued growth and success is dependent upon establishing a protocol to study our methodologies to prevent PTSD. We spoke briefly about this and now must move forward. A prominent member of our Advisory Council (who is surely known to Jeffrey) can arrange for this study to be performed by the Rand Corporation (where he is a Senior Advisor) or a similarly qualified organization but we urgently need 5150,000 - $200,000 to hire a clinical director to head this research and fund the infrastructure for it to begin. If you or he can instruct us how to proceed more formally if necessary in making this request, I am most willing to go to the next step. I also want to reiterate my personal concern for him and hope we can reconnect when possible. I am back in the US now and remain available to meet or speak.
