I'm @ 71st, so I just looked in your iMac here (you may have got a message about messages or FaceTime logging in to your iCloud account) but it's not linked to your hotmail at all. SMTP means it's the outgoing mail password. If you figure out what your hotmail password is, Open Settings > Mail, Contacts & Calendar > your Hotmail account > your account again > Outgoing > enter the password here. Until you do, you should be able to receive mail but not send with hotmail.
