To: jeevacation(©maitcom(jeevacation©gmail.com); Jeffrey Epsteinfleevacationegmail.com) From: David Gelemter Sent Mon 6/20/2011 12:43:56 PM Subject: Re: one page: heads-up computing (Compute-Drive) iCloud follows Apple's "time machine" (& there's more similar stuff in Lion, the new Mac OS). Time Machine was one of the three Apple systems alleged to infringe our patents. Jury agreed (& found deliberate infringement); judge ruled that, although the infringing systems were there, we hadn't proved that anyone actually *used* them. Betting is that jury verdict will be re-instated (why Boles & the rest agreed to do the appeal): infringement is obvious -- tho no one knows about damages.
