I asked Kevin to identify three possible replacement head units - with price not being a real consideration. Although Kevin is very knowledgeable in his field, I was not 100% satisfied with all his answers to our questions with regard to the amplifiers and speakers, so I decided to go direct to JL Audio in Florida as they are the manufacturers of the amps and subs. With Larry in my office on the call, we spoke with Eric Cole of JL Audio (he's their technical support) to discuss the subs in the aircraft - the type of sub, the throw, the enclosure, etc... We also spoke about what type of speakers they produce to replace the Rockford speakers in the psu's. We are sending Eric pictures of the credenza and measurements of the areas so that he can recommend what their best speakers (subs and coaxial) that will work in the aircraft. I believe that we have a solid direction that will produce a solid outcome. I will keep you abreast of our findings so that we can recommend a solution that will hopefully meet your approval.
