Yes, lots of time is lost that could be doing other things - a good 12 to 15 years commitment, and life is so short. But there are very significant kinds of personal elevation and satisfaction... while I know lots of people who are doing amazing things and very busy, none seem have regrets about kids overall, not a single one... Could it be that all these great creative minds are being hijacked, or is the satisfaction value genuine? How is this measured objectively??!!! Does it matter?
