We will send a large steel wheel roller and a pneumatic ( rubber tires ) roller out tomorrow. The large roller will be used to "iron out' the asphalt mat to improve smoothness, and the kneading action of the rubber tires on the pneumatic roller will help close the voids in any rocky areas. Rocky areas that do not show improvement will be sealed with hot asphalt fines or emulsified asphalt. I have asked David Vigil, who is the Lab manager for BSN Santa Fe, to take a look next week at the texture of the asphalt surface on Zorro Road and give us his professional opinion. BSN is the testing laboratory on Zorro Ranch and White Lakes. I have attached photo's of the surface from White Lakes Road, which by all accounts is a similar application of that of the Ranch. It appeals the surface on White Lakes Road is more compact and smother application than that of the Ranch. We also applied water to the paved section this morning, and this confirms the unevenness of the surface. I would advise we need to address these issue before continuing paving of other locations regards Brice Cordon Stanley, NM LSJ-GSJ, USVI Ph: EFTA01021658 Gr Gilbert A.
