It looks like the technology has advanced fast since I last looked at it. Here is a good breakdown: http://m.thewirecutter.com/reviews/the-best-wireless-hdmi-video-transmitter/ The best options are one of these systems (differences are in signal strength and the number of inputs -- the first option "Long Range Wireless 5x2 HDMI Matrix PRO" is the strongest and gives 5 separate inputs): http://www.iogear.com/wireless-ay.htm It's listed on the French Amazon site so it should be French regulatory-compliant. I would caution against putting the transmitter (and HDMI sources) in a separate room -- the thickness of the walls are likely to degrade the signal -- but it should work well within a cabinet in the same room.
