Contrary to what the FBI was told, there are, in fact, logs kept of the 30-minute rounds of the prisoners in the SHU. The guard responsible for performing the checks on Epstein filled out and initialed the log indicating that she made her rounds. However, she admitted to the first responders that she had not, in fact, made her rounds. We are opening an 18 USC 1001 investigation on the guard's submission of a false report, which investigation will be worked on by agents from OIG and FBI. EFTA00165283
