She was his contractor. The unsealed documents include a tax memo from Siegal's own accountant that lays out the billing architecture.[1](#sources) All invoices for "The Peggy Siegal Company" ran through an entity called **Waggingtail Entertainment Ltd.** Waggingtail paid a commission to a second entity — Peggy Siegal Inc. — equal to 60% of revenue, less expenses. Standard Hollywood accounting. One client was different. Invoices to **HBRK Associates Inc.** — an Epstein-linked shell company — carried a **100% revenue split**. No commission deduction. No overhead share. Every dollar billed to HBRK went straight to Peggy Siegal Inc. The arrangement had one purpose: Epstein's name never appeared on Waggingtail's standard client roster. He was billed through a separate entity, at a preferential rate, with a paper trail designed to obscure the relationship. By June 2011, Waggingtail's total billing was **$591,378**.[1](#sources) --- ## The Client List Siegal's other clients tell you who she was. She arranged premieres for HBO. She handled PR for Harvey Weinstein. Nine years after Epstein's first conviction. Six years after his total billing had already crossed half a million. The money was still flowing. The Elton John payment was for an Oscar party ticket — Epstein paying $15,000 through his own charity to get Siegal into the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar gala.[2](#sources) --- ## What She Delivered Siegal's value to Epstein was access. The documents show her arranging entry to: - **Gotham Independent Film Awards** at Cipriani — Epstein as her plus-one - **Tribeca Film Festival** — staff email: "AWAITING TO SEE IF OK FOR YOU TO ATTEND WITH PEGGY" - **"Wolf of Wall Street" screening** with Mort Zuckerman - **"The Great Gatsby"** at MoMA - **"Les Misérables"** at AMC Lincoln Square - **"Arbitrage" premiere** — Richard Gere, Graydon Carter in attendance - **"Behind the Candelabra"** at Time Warner Center - **"The Newsroom" premiere** at Time Warner Screening Room - **Woody Allen premieres** — multiple, 2012 through 2014 - **"Genius" lunch** at The Rainbow Room — Ron Howard directing - **Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar party** - **Venice Film Festival** She also served as his social intelligence officer. When she traveled, she reported back. From Venice: "Met this Saudi, Prince Andrew.. very friendly with him."[3](#sources) From the Hamptons: "Saw Eva Dubin yesterday with her kids... she is beyond beautiful."[4](#sources) From Ghislaine Maxwell's townhouse: "Just left Ghislaine's townhouse... Bill Clinton and Jeff Bezos were there."[5](#sources) 852 email threads in the unsealed corpus mention Peggy Siegal. She wasn't a party guest. She was a reporting channel. --- ## The Oscar Diary In March 2011, Siegal sent Epstein a multi-page insider account of Oscar weekend — party by party, room by room, 100-plus celebrities catalogued with social dynamics annotated.[6](#sources) This was not gossip. It was an intelligence product mapping Hollywood's power topology, delivered directly to a convicted sex offender. At Bryan Lourd's Friday Night Party: Uma Thurman, Harrison Ford, Johnny Depp, Jerry Bruckheimer, Sean Penn, Tom Cruise, Anderson Cooper, Leonardo DiCaprio. At Jeffrey Katzenberg's Night Before Party: Steven Spielberg, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Steven Mnuchin, Ben Stiller, Cate Blanchett, Robert Downey Jr., Hugh Jackman. At the Weinstein Pre-Oscar Party at Soho House: Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Sean Parker, Leonardo DiCaprio, Michelle Williams. At the Vanity Fair Party: Barry Diller, Mick Jagger, Kevin Spacey, Scarlett Johansson, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence, Donald Trump and Melania. And buried in the account — a note about Hailee Steinfeld, then 14 years old, fresh off an Oscar nomination for *True Grit*: > "I am trying to fix her up with Justin Bieber. She giggles, 'Peg, I am only 14.'" That was the woman Jeffrey Epstein was paying to be his eyes and ears in Hollywood. --- ## The Oscar Party Hustle February 22, 2013. Siegal emails Epstein with an update on Oscar party logistics.[7](#sources) She's trying to get Boris Nikolic — Bill Gates' science advisor — into the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar party. Her strategy: she sent "a photo of Boris with Bill Gates at an AID benefit in D.C." to Elton John's partner David Furnish as a credential. Then: > "I am also appealing to **Harvey Weinstein** to let them in his viewing party." Siegal was using a photograph of Bill Gates as leverage to broker a convicted sex offender's social rehabilitation — while simultaneously working Harvey Weinstein's PR account. The same publicist. The same parties. Two predators' orbits managed by one woman. --- ## "Can You Bring Ann Hathaway" February 26, 2013. Five days after the Oscar party maneuvers. Siegal is emailing Epstein about her mother's estate — an inheritance dispute, personal and painful. Epstein hijacks the thread.[8](#sources) > "Can you bring ann Hathaway to have a coffee with bill gates and me" No preamble. No context. Just a convicted sex offender asking his publicist to deliver a fresh Oscar winner to his home. Siegal pushed back — not on the ask itself, but on the logistics. The next day, she emailed Epstein's assistant Lesley Groff:[9](#sources) > "Why am I asking her to come at **10:30pm** with her husband to your home to meet Bill Gates?" She answered her own question. Hathaway had just won Best Supporting Actress for *Les Misérables*, playing Fantine — a woman sold into prostitution. Siegal explained that Hathaway was now "interested in **the plight of girls imprisoned in poverty and abused** around the world after portraying Fantine." A convicted sex trafficker. Asking for a woman who cared about imprisoned and abused girls. At his home. At 10:30 at night. The pitch: Bill Gates. --- ## The Shared Infrastructure Peggy Siegal was not the only contractor who served both Epstein and Weinstein. In July 2017, Epstein paid **$25,000** to **Hiltzik Strategies** — the crisis communications firm run by Matthew Hiltzik.[10](#sources) Hiltzik also managed public relations for Harvey Weinstein. And Ivanka Trump. And Justin Bieber. A month later, Hiltzik sent Epstein a PR strategy document titled "JE Story Outline." It listed people who would publicly vouch for Epstein's character: > **Third Party Validators:** > - Bill Gates > - Eva Dubin > - James Watson > - Former White House Counsel, Kathy Ruemmler A longer Q&A document expanded the roster: Lawrence Summers, Leon Black, Bill Richardson, Lawrence Krauss, Noam Chomsky.[11](#sources) The PR team asked Epstein to clarify which names would speak on the record. Two of the most notorious predators in American life, managed by overlapping teams, rehabilitated through the same social infrastructure. When Weinstein's career collapsed three months later, Epstein didn't comment on the scandal. He sent Soon-Yi Previn — Woody Allen's wife — a New Yorker article titled "How Men Like Harvey Weinstein Implicate Their Victims in Their Acts."[12](#sources) No message. Just the link. --- ## "We Could Have Another One Monday" December 3, 2010. Epstein emails Siegal the morning after hosting a dinner for Prince Andrew.[13](#sources) > "We could have another one at the house on monday with Bill Gates.. Larry summers. and one of the middle Eastern Sheiks. Who would we invite?" Prince Andrew one night. Bill Gates and Larry Summers the next. And Peggy Siegal was the guest curator — deciding which celebrities and socialites would fill the room around them. Not press releases. Not red carpet management. Social engineering for a convicted sex offender, assembling the rooms where power met. Three years later, same dynamic. Epstein in Palm Beach: "Im in palm beach, with bill gates at the house." Her response: "Very exciting about Bill Gates. Where is Melinda?"[14](#sources) Where is Melinda. The question everyone should have been asking. --- $591,378 through a shell company. Nine confirmed wire transfers across nine years. An Oscar diary naming 100 celebrities, sent to a sex offender. An Oscar party hustle using a Gates photograph to lobby Harvey Weinstein. An actress invited to a predator's home at 10:30pm to discuss "the plight of girls imprisoned in poverty and abused." Peggy Siegal was not a socialite who got caught in the wrong photo. She was a paid professional who delivered Hollywood to Jeffrey Epstein on a retainer, through a shell company, for a decade. The billing went through Waggingtail. The access went through Peggy.
